Federico Calce is an expert in beauty with a passion for style and technique. Highly acclaimed for his unique and insightful approach to hairstyling, Federico has elevated the definition of a mega-modern and contemporary hair dresser. Federico arrived from Milan, Italy to New York City in the early eighties, leaving his family salon chain as a master stylist to test his abilities in the United States. His talents were immediately recognized and he was appointed Artistic Director of the salon at Bergdorf Goodman. Five years later his first namesake salon, Federico Hair Salon, followed. He has coiffed the head of countless models for Fendi, Valentino, and Armani fashion shows as well as for Oscar de LaRenta. As celebrity’s stylist at NYC’s Olympus Fashion Week 2005, Federico worked with photographer Timothy Greenfield- Sanders on many celebrities like Eva Longoria, Nicole Richie, Jessie Metcalfe, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, Rosario Dawson, Sarah Fergusson, Katie Couric, Betsy Johnson, and Rachel Hunter.

With a mix of knowledge and a bit of humor, George has educated and entertained audiences from Europe to Japan and throughout the United States as a platform artist and educator for Zotos International and Keune Hair Cosmetics, to name a few. Always going a step further, George has been deeply involved in developing and designing many programs to expand and enhance the professional beauty industry. Gina Hees has been in the hairdressing industry for 21 years and for the past 11 years has been at ANiU Salon and Spa in Middleton, WI. ANiU is the largest salon in the Midwest, spanning 26,000 square feet. Over the past 21 years, Gina has worked for product companies, been an educator, and is currently an educator to stylists for hair extensions. She is also a member of the Artistic Council with Evolve. Gina has worked with hair enhancers for the past seven years and has enjoyed being a part of bringing the Volumizer to life. This process has been a great learning experience and she is excited to introduce it to clients because it is such a life changing product!

From the mid 80s through mid 90s, Johnny Plant spent seven years on the Zoto’s design team. He was involved with all major shows in the US and Europe and all major photo sessions for trends in all the major magazines. After his time with Zoto’s, he went to Redken Laboratories and was on their design team for two years, again involved with all their major shows and photo sessions. Johnny left Redken Laboratories and became a member of the Hiashi design team and then went on to the Anastazi design team. Two years later, Johnny founded his own salon, The Plants, located in Amarillo TX. He is now a founding member of the Artistic Council and an educator for Evolve. Johnny has done Salon International in London eight times, and was the Artistic Director for the state of Texas. His work has shown up in all of the consumer magazines and also in trade magazines for professionals in the hair industry.

Kat Spence, a world-renowned and highly regarded designer, is a creative force throughout the hair industry. Always on the cutting edge, Kat has left stylistic marks in Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo, and the United States. Kat was a featured stylist for the Zoto’s Creative Design Conference and represented Zoto’s as a platform artist from 1980-1999. As a member of the Zoto’s Artistic Council, Kat was responsible for developing all of the latest techniques in styling, coloring and perms. A promotional video produced by Zoto’s for salons throughout the country, showcased Kat demonstrating a perm for the high lift for heavily highlighted hair and bleached hair. Kat’s work has graced the covers of industry publications the world over, such as Salon Today, cover of Modern Salon, Passion and Celebrity Hairstyle and many other magazines. Kat continues to contribute to her profession at all levels.

LuLu Benavidez’s professional alignments as a platform artist combined with her conception and execution of total trend releases and technical systems development, has been contracted by such leading manufactures as Zoto’s, Wella, Matrix, and the Latino Fashion Group. Lulu’s latest association is as an educator and platform artist with the Artistic Council of Evolve. When not traveling, LuLu and her staff serve a large and full spectrum of clientele at her contemporary salon. LuLu’s the Salon, Inc. in Galveston is a 4200 sq. ft. full-service salon and is in its 35th year of business.

After arriving in New York from Trinidad, Bianca was taken under the wing of renowned Manhattan stylist Joseph Plaskett of Hairstyling by Joseph. Some of Bianca’s earlier clients included Diana Ross, Tamara Dobson, Iman, percussionist Ralph McDonald; the most recent was Lauryn Hill for the Independent Film Restaurant. Photos of her work have appeared in numerous publications and trade journals including Black Hair Digest, Modern Hair and Style, Good Housekeeping, and Black Salon Client Guide.
Randy has a wide and diverse range of experience in his professional career. He has owned three salons and worked for several chain salons. Randy has been a platform artist and educator for several major product lines. He has educated and taught hair styling in over 30 countries. Randy also brings experience in the corporate side of the beauty industry, where he has been involved with sales, sales support, marketing, and product development.
